Michelle Nabors represents clients in a range of oil and gas, real estate, and commercial matters, including lease cancellation litigation, oil and gas disputes, quiet title actions, contract disputes, property damage, commercial litigation, and fiduciary/probate litigation. Michelle also assists her clients with oil and gas and real estate transactional matters and resolving title issues.
Professional Experience
Michelle joined Harrison and Mecklenburg in 2013. Prior to becoming a shareholder with the firm, Michelle was Assistant General Counsel at the Oklahoma State University Foundation. Michelle is a member of the Payne County and Oklahoma Bar Associations. She has been recognized as a Super Lawyers Rising Star annually since 2018.
Education
Michelle graduated from the University of Oklahoma College of Law in 2013 with highest honors and was elected to the Order of the Coif. During law school, Michelle was a Comfort Scholar and served as a member of the Oklahoma Law Review. On graduating, Michelle received the Nathan Scarritt Award for the highest academic standing in her class.
Michelle also received the F.C. Love Memorial Scholarship for excellence in legal writing, as well as academic achievement awards for the highest grades in Contracts, Secured Transactions, Administrative Law, Family Law, Professional Responsibility, and Legal Research and Writing I.
Michelle received her bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Economics from Oklahoma State University in 2003.
Personal Life
Michelle was raised in Woodward, Oklahoma. While attending Oklahoma State University, she worked as a manager at the Hideaway in Stillwater. Following graduation, she spent a year in New York City before serving as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Azerbaijan with her husband, Craig. Prior to attending law school, Michelle worked as a Peace Corps recruiter within the Oklahoma State University School of International Studies.
Michelle and Craig currently live in Stillwater with their three children – Atticus, Franny and Harriet – and enjoy both traveling and spending time on their farm outside Stillwater. Michelle serves on the Board of Directors for the Stillwater Chamber of Commerce, the Board of Trustees of the Oklahoma Foundation for Excellence, and is a member and Past President of the Stillwater Frontier Rotary Club. In 2019, Michelle was honored by Young Professionals of Stillwater as a Leader Under 40.
